How to get there

By air - The budget airlines operate cheap flights into Poitiers or Limoges, Ryanair currently have services from Stansted or Liverpool to either airport and Flybe operate from Southampton to Limoges. Driving time from either Poitiers or Limoges is about an hour and car hire is available at the airports.

By sea -
There is a wide range of channel crossings and ports available to choose from. Some have shorter sea crossings with more driving in France while others are longer, sometimes overnight crossings with a slightly shorter drive. The shorter crossings to Calais, Dieppe and Dunkirk are usually the cheaper option.

Calais – 6-7 hours
Le Havre or Dieppe – 5-6 hours
Caen or St Malo - 5 hours

By rail -
The Eurostar from London to Paris connects with the TGV to Poitiers.
Car hire available at all airports and major railway stations.
